This foundation course will introduce you to the history, theory, and practice of Reflexology, including the morals, ethics, and appropriate attitudes and boundaries of practice as a Reflexologist. You will learn treatment techniques and how to administer a basic treatment session. Level I is the first course of the Academy’s 150-hour Reflexology Certification Program, and may also be taken as a stand-alone course. EPR I and EPR II may be taken in either order. Together, they form the foundation material for the Equine Positional Release basic program. EPR I covers the front leg and shoulder; the hind leg and pelvis with and introduction to the neck and hooves. The class focuses on movement patterns and gait, along with study of the structure, physiology and nature of the horse.

This class introduces you to our Craniosacral program. You will learn how to become silent enough to listen and feel the inner movements of a person’s body. You will understand how to approach and interact with the central nervous system and the Craniosacral system, and will learn to feel the specific cranial rhythm with which you are most comfortable.

In this module we expand our understanding of the cranium, working with the sutures and different structures in the brain. We will also explore movements and energies of Heartbeat and Breath: physical, auric and universal. The module includes: The Living philosophy of Ortho-Bionomy, Advanced Cranial, Study Group, The Energies of Heartbeat and Breath and Phase 7.

Students may choose to register for specific courses for partial cost, or register for the entire module. This module can be taken on its own or as a requirement for completing the Advanced Ortho-Bionomy certification program.

This class will provide a practical approach to incorporating oriental medical theories into bodywork practice. Define your ability to feel the chi flow in your client’s body and answer any questions that you have about oriental theory. “Shiatsu” translates in Japanese as “finger pressure therapy.” It is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, and represents a time-tested synthesis of diverse healing and martial arts practices from China, India, Japan, and Tibet. In Shiatsu a practitioner applies pressure with palms, thumbs, fingers, elbows, knees, and feet to specific points along energy channels in the body called meridians. The goal is to restore energetic balance to the body, mind, and spirit, and thus facilitate healing on all levels.

This Level 2 course provides more in-depth information that relates to material covered in Level 1, including new foot reflex points, sequencing, treatment techniques, and hand reflexology. Level 2 also presents the spinal reflexes, and students study the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, skeletal/muscular systems in this relation. Students also learn about the importance, and use of consultation, treatment forms, and “mapping”, in order to effectively evaluate a client’s needs to provide a holistic, and professional treatment. Students will demonstrate a “full” treatment of the right foot. Case Studies are begun after this Level and students are taught the required format for this.

In this class you will learn how to become silent enough to listen and feel the inner movements of a person’s body. You will explore ‘synchronicity’ between you and the client in all its aspects. You will feel and practice how the CS system relates to the whole body, learn about fascial intelligence, and experience the diaphragm-by-diaphragm release. I will teach you the anatomy of the brain, nervous system, and CS-system, and show you how to do the basic cranial lifts and neck (atlas-occiput) releasing techniques. By the end of this Basic class you will be able to give a full basic cranial session.

This class will connect you with the 3 CS-rhythms and introduce you to the brain cycle. It will present unwinding techniques and teach you how to open the heart via the meridians as well as using a thorax release. You will learn how to create still-points, direct energy, and open the “avenue of expression” in order to connect with your clients using your “original voice.” You will give and receive a practice session each day.
