Pathology

This course covers the definitions, etiology, signs and symptoms for twelve conditions commonly encountered by massage therapists. Lectures and discussions on the pathologies ofthe major body systems are included. Students gain understanding of how disease can functionally and structurally affect the body. Students learn the physiology related to basic disorders and discuss what massage techniques apply.

This course is offered in the Massage and Continuing Education programs.
