Ortho-Bionomy: Posture and Post-Techniques Posture expresses our life experiences and how we
use our bodies. We can sense this through patterns and relationships
of bone, muscle, fascia, organs, energy and fluids. This class addresses:
Supporting a posture that is comfortable and functional by releasing
patterns of pain and tension. Strengthening and re-educating posture
following imbalances created by pain, injury, strain, overuse, etc.
Working with posture to facilitate physical and emotional integration
and wholeness; recognizing how each posture has its own balance.
Working with whole body patterns, noticing the interrelationship
of larger and smaller patterns, and using posture work to facilitate
awareness, release tension and increase natural responsiveness. Re-education
techniques (post techniques) to stabilize and support newfound ease
and balance. Practice observing and communicating with other students
in the class in a respectful and non-judgmental way.
