Ortho-Bionomy Associate Member
112 Unit Study Option
A unique opportunity exists for students to meet fewer class hour requirements than the Practitioner Program* and legally use the term “Ortho-Bionomy®” in their description of modalities with which they work, e.g. on a business card.
This designation, called an Associate Member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy has specific class, evaluation and continuing education requirements to achieve and maintain limited trademark privileges.
Individuals are eligible for Associate Membership when they have completed the following requirements:
- 112 units of Ortho-Bionomy instruction including of a minimum of
- 32 units of Basics/Phase Four
- 16 units of Phase Five
- 16 units of Phase Six
- Ethics requirement (see Associate Member form for specifics).
- Completion of a feedback session with a Registered Instructor.
- Payment of Associate Member dues.
There is a specific Associate Membership Form which must be completed and sent in to the Society office. After being accepted as an Associate Member, individuals must submit proof of 16 units of continuing education every two years when renewing their membership. Associate Members also qualify for membership with Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) at their “Practitioner” level at a discounted rate. Annual dues for Associate Members are $100.
*To call oneself a Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy one must complete the 500 hour Program and be appointed as a Practitioner by the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International®.
